The Gnutella2 peer-to-peer protocol is a reworking of the Gnutella2 protocol. Written mainly by Michael Stokes, Gnutella2 drops all of the oldGnutella2 protocol except for the connection handshake and adopts an entirely new search algorithm. Gnutella2 is often abbreviated as G2.
